Thermomix recipe tuna empanada

The tuna empanada cannot be missed in any celebration. It is ideal for when we get together to celebrate birthdays, saints, or any evening of family reunion.

The last one I did, if I remember correctly, was the eve of Kings. That morning my parents always take their granddaughters to send the letter to the wise men. So I take the opportunity to prepare the roscones, the meal on Three Kings Day and the Snack dinner after the cavalcade of their Majesties the Magi. It is that with so much gift I don't even appear in the kitchen.

It is a joy to see the faces of my little ones in the parade. There is nothing more beautiful than looking at how children's eyes light up at that moment. My daughters are very lucky to go to see her every year accompanied by her four grandparents, my sister, her boyfriend and us, her parents. But at the end it seems that the afternoon is a bit lame without knowing what to do, therefore, we usually get together at home and this was one of my recipes. Dinner.

I love to prepare the tuna empanada, I almost always make the dough and the stuffing but if I go something caught in time I buy puff pastry made. On several occasions you have commented to us in the Facebook group that the "Lidl" puff pastry dough was very rich and I have to tell you that once tasted I recommend it for its quality and because it is very good.

I fill it with pepper, onion, cans of tuna and cooked egg. Although I have seen a couple of recipes and I think I will encourage myself to prepare new fillings. I am undecided between the vegetables and of octopus and tuna, they both look great and are sure to be delicious.

Before moving on to the recipe I would like to give the thanks to my partner and friend Diana that on his birthday he entertained us with this recipe and I loved it.

    Long live the empanadas! I love it. I leave you some ideas:
    - chicken with sooo much onion and red pepper.
    - pear and onion blood sausage
    - cod and a lot of onion
    - prawns and gulas

    And yes, it's true, the Lidl puff pastry is really good, the only problem I find is that it is square and when I bought it it had a round mold ... hehehe I had to make a little fix around the edges, but hey, the quiche was Awesome.

    Mmmmm !!! that good looking. I love empanadas and whenever I have a party or lunch at home I prepare one. The one that is most successful is that of: slices of cheese type tranchetes, diced bacon (oscar mayer the best), slices of ham and dates. It has no waste.

    On New Year's Eve, taking advantage of the leftovers I had from Christmas, I made the following empanada (of course with the lidl dough) and the whole family was amazed.

    It had leftover caramelized onion and I used it as a base.
    I had roquefort ice cream in the freezer that I prepared for a salad, I took it out for a while before making it and placed it on top of the onion.
    Then I added slices of York ham and finally I had half a package of sliced โ€‹โ€‹mushrooms, I made them a little in the pan and placed them last. It really was exquisite.

    A trick: I make the filling first because it has to be cold to assemble the pie and that way it cools well without going through the fridge, which is better. Then I make the dough without washing the glass or anything, it remains a little red but very rich in flavor.

      Beatriz there are some differences between the TM-21 and the TM-31. When we say "left turn, spoon speed" in the TM-21 you have to put the butterfly on the blades and set your lowest speed, which I think is 1. The TM-21 heats up earlier, so if in a Recipe I say temperature 100ยบ, you will put 90ยบ and we crush in speed 5, in the TM-21 it is crushed in speed 3 1/2.

    the dough stayed like bread dough, not like puff pastry sheets

      Cristina, you are right, the dough is more of a bread type. If I find another puff pastry I will send it to you. The truth is that the last times I have done it with the puff pastry from lidl. It comes out great.

The strength flour is special for doughs and as long as the recipe asks for that you cannot change it for another. It helps the dough to rise and it comes out fluffier than with other flour.
