Happy New Year everyone, the recipe looks great, I think the next time I have guests I will prepare it, after several days of so many lunches and dinners like last night so intense today I have prepared the four-color cream, my eldest daughter and My husband was speechless, a very striking presentation and a great flavor, even the little one has eaten it all and that I had my doubts about the taste of beets, I have only had the thermomix for 2 months and I am delighted with your page, congratulations girls.

Hello, yesterday I made tomato jam and it came out great, I followed the instructions as the recipe said but it came out too runny, tell me what I can do to make it thicker, thank you.

         Elena said

Hello Marรญa Josรฉ, to make it thicker you have to leave it for a few more minutes and without a beaker so that it evaporates more quickly. I'm glad you liked it. All the best.

Why is it that I made this recipe for candied peppers yesterday and they were super dark ??? But hey they are great hehehehe

         Elena said

Hi Paula, I try to use the reddest peppers I can see and they have a spectacular color. Anyway, even if they have been darker, the important thing is that you like them. All the best.

Hello, I have already made it several times and I smear the tart with cheese spread type Philadelphia or of the hacendado brand and on top of it the peppers and it is great, also accompanying it in a tart with duck foie, spectacular

         Elena said

How good Mari Angeles !. I have made the tartlets with cream cheese and with goat cheese and peppers and they are delicious, but not with duck foie. Next time I will try it. Regards, and thank you very much.

Ah, I forgot a question, how long can it last done?

         Paula said

It must last a long time because as it contains sugar and vinegar, which are preservatives, it will last a long time.

           Elena said

Hello Paula, in the refrigerator and well packaged they last a long time. I have had them for about three weeks and they were perfect. All the best.

         Elena said

Hello Mari Angeles, I have had them in the refrigerator for three weeks, in a tightly closed jar and they have been perfectly preserved. All the best.

wellโ€ฆ. it is a vice!!! the peppers are spectacularly rich.
But I have a doubt, the fried onion is the onion that we can find canned ... I mean like the zucchini and onion that are in Mercadona or is it the fried onion that we add to salads and find in Ikea?

Thank you so much for your ideas, they are great.
    Kisses and Happy Holidays!

         Elena said

Hi Gema, I use Ikea onion, but I think there are already other brands in several supermarkets. Greetings and thank you very much for following us. Happy 2011!

    Happy new year!
I hope you continue the year sharing your wonderful recipes.
This recipe looks great, but I would like to know how fried onion is made.
    Thank you so much, goodbye

         Elena said

Hello Marรญa A., thank you very much for seeing us and I hope you continue to like our recipes. Regarding fried onion, I have not tried to make it because I love the one they sell at Ikea and I always try to have a bag at home. I have seen in a supermarket that they also sell it, from other brands, but I have not tried them.
      Greetings and Happy 2011!

      Gloria said

Hello: I want to make the candied peppers, but I have the old model of the machine and I do not understand the "varoma temperature, I turn to the left ..." Can you give me the temperature in degrees and the speed in numbers?

         Elena said

Hello Gloria, when we say "left turn and spoon speed", on the TH21 you have to put the butterfly on the blades and speed 1. The varoma temperature is the highest. Greetings and I hope you like them.

Happy New Year !!!! How are you going? Thank you for the recipes and the help. On New Year's Eve the false spider crab mousse, the two chocolate flan and the three triumphant nougat. You have me addicted to the term. Haha. Tomorrow we have a meeting family and I'm going to make the bacon cheese muffins and candied pepper tartlets. A silly question that has arisen but that has me somewhat confused: the peppers that I have bought are the vegetable as such, or are they canned? They are not the canned ones. Have a good year, thanks in advance and see you between recipes.

         Elena said

Hi Toni, the peppers are natural. I am glad that you liked the recipes and I hope that also these that you are going to make. Greetings and thank you very much for seeing us. Happy 2011!

Hello Elena, they have turned out very good, the only thing the rascal I had to do second because at the time of the recipe and the power I have been scorched. In the second with 4 min, it was enough for me to be crunchy, the bacon cheese muffins have liked a lot and I was encouraged to make the miracle bread and it has flown, the best thing is that we are waiting for our second baby and the craving has been the bread, so Saturdays and Sundays: miracle bread. Thank you very much for the real recipes. You help us a lot. Kisses.

    LOVELY!
CAN THEY BE PRESERVED LIKE JAM BY STORING IN JARS AND CLOSING THE MARIAA BATHROOM?
    OR CAN IT BE FREEZED?
Are the tartlets served hot or cold?
    THANK YOU SO MUCH

         Elena said

Hi Toni, they can be kept in a bain-marie, like jams. But without doing that, they keep in the fridge for a very long time.
I serve the tartlets warm, but they are delicious anyway. All the best.

      Tony said

    Thank you very much Elena.

It seems like a good way to take advantage of red peppers when they have been in the fridge for a long time! We, there are two of us, although I use them to cook they always tend to make me limp and I ended up throwing them away, the other day looking at the blog I found this recipe and I just had one in the refrigerator, so I took advantage and made the recipe, they are very colorful and it has a peculiar taste! I stuffed some tartlets that I had with them and I added fried onion (I buy in the Ikea store, it is crunchy and goes very well with vegetable creams)

         Elena said

I'm glad you like them, Irene. I also buy the onion from the Ikea and with the peppers it is perfect. Another way is to put them with a little goat cheese and bread. All the best.

      latere74 said

Hi girls, I made this recipe with Philadelphia cheese. Both in a tartlet and on top of a piece of bread, put the cheese first and the peppers on top and the contrast of flavors is delicious. It can also be put in a transparent bowl and that the guests spread it on the toasts, the colors are very good. I hope you provide it and you like it, greetings.

         Elena said

How good, Latere74 !. I have tried it with Philadelphia cheese and we really like it. All the best.

      Marieta said

I have made the peppers and once cold they have become very compact, it is the first time I have made them and I do not know very well what is the extura that they must have, but a little lighter they would handle better, I have to keep trying !! !! Then they taste great and with cheese โ€ฆโ€ฆ uhmmm to die for.

         Elena said

Hello Marieta, they are compact, but if you put them on a toast with goat cheese a little warm they are delicious. All the best.

      ANA MARIA said

Since I discovered candied peppers they are not lacking in my house, with a little spread cheese they get you out of a lot of trouble and you look great, and since they are so easy to make and they last so long in the fridge, it is ideal.
Thanks for all the recipes you give, they are also easy and "normal", there are some out there that we are not even "Chefs", ha ha.
    Cheers and greetings from Malaga.

      loli said

Hello Elena, I live in Valencia and we still don't have Ikea, so I don't know where I can buy the fried onion you are talking about, also I understood by normal fried onion, which you fry in your pan of a lifetime, I would like What would you tell me if I can buy at Mercadona or Carrefour and if it is dehydrated as I have to do it. All the best

         Elena said

Hello Loli, I think there is one at the Carrefour and the English Court. The truth is that I always buy it at Ikea and I have never made it. Greetings and I hope you find it.

      carmen said

Hello Elena and Silvia! First of all thank you for your help and your magnificent recipes. Regarding fried onion, I have found fried onion in Mercadona that they sell in a can (pack of 3 cans) is that good for me? Thanks again

         Elena said

Hello Carmen, that is not the one I use. The ones from the mercadona are the ones I use to make the "onion and mushroom sauce." The onion from Ikea is crunchy, but I think that the one from Mercadona will also suit you well. All the best.

      carmen said

Ah .. another thingโ€ฆ. Can you assemble the tart with the peppers, put bacon and onion, the Parmesan cheese as indicated and bake all this so that the cheese melts? How long in the oven and Tยช? Thanks againooo

         Elena said

Hi Carmen, I have not tried heating them, but you can try heating them in the oven or for a few seconds in the microwave. I think they will be very good. All the best.

      Carmen said

Thank you very much for answering so soon. I will go to the English court to see if I can find the onion (there is no ikea) if I will not try the one from Mercadona. A very affectionate greeting

      carmen said

Putting fried onion in google, you get a recipe to make onion like the one from ikea in online recipes. I've made it, it's easy and it works out well. I put it in case it helps someone. aki we do not have ikea and I did not find it in any supermarket. A hug

         Elena said

Thank you very much, Carmen! I'm going to find her. All the best.

      carmen said

Elena, Thanks to you, they come out great !!! and the microwave touch is great! I did it with the peppers and the Parmesan cheese, when I saw that the cheese was starting to melt I took them out and immediately added the bacon and onion. Exit!! Thanks again!

Yes, Immaculate, but be careful because it is done right away. All the best.

      Immaculate Fernandez said

OK, thank you very much, for responding so soon, I have the micro picked up and I want to make the recipe tomorrow. By the way, I found filo dough recipes but I tell people who are very predisposed to make it, I have the book d masses in the stationery so they can fix it for me, because it was very, very "currao" and I had to throw out Internet pages hahahaha, but I think I will risk doing it, even if it is complicated and then I will tell you. A GREETING

You'll tell me how are you, Immaculate. All the best.

      Immaculate Fernandez said

Hello Elena, first of all, thank Carmen for citing the Google page "Thank you Carmen." I do not know if you know the recipe for "Squid from the field" since we are talking about fried onion, they are very good around here they put it a lot in the summer of tapas in bars. It is about d onion cut into very fine rings, and peppers cut in the same way, they are blanched in boiling water for a minute, they drain very well if it is necessary to dry them better, once this is done they are fried in plenty of oil, and drained in Kitchen paper, it is optional to overflow some ganbas and fry them together with the vegetables, the peppers must be green d fry, if you do not know the recipe I hope you like it. A GREETING

         Elena said

What a good recipe, Immaculate !. I will try it. Thank you.

In the case of candied peppers:
Can lemon be used in place of vinegar? How much quantity? ร‡

         Mayra Fernandez Joglar said

I think there is no problem if you substitute the vinegar for the same amount of lemon, both add acid to the recipe.

Elena, I think it's a great recipe. Tomorrow I do them and in quantity. I have some small jars to preserve. I'll tell you

HELLO SILVIA, I THINK YOUR RECIPES GREAT, EASY AND SIMPLE TO MAKE
THE CANDIED PEPPERS, GREAT, BUT THEY COME OUT VERY COMPACT, WHAT CAN I DO WRONG? .A GREETING

      luciaoviedo said

Hello Elena, I have several questions about the peppers:

-They are normal peppers (the vegetable), none of the piquillo ones or anything like that, right?

-Can you use white wine vinegar instead of apple?

-When do you put the basket and remove the cup, after adding the sugar, vinegar and water during the 35 minutes?

    -
You have to make them at the moment so that they are rich or they can be
do a few hours before and then warm them a little on the micro or a
    frying pan? Thank you !!!

         Irene Arcas said

Hello Lucia, I answer your questions:
      - The peppers are normal (the vegetable).
      - You can perfectly use wine vinegar.
      - Indeed, you put the basket and remove the cup during the 35 minutes of cooking. In this way, the water evaporates and we are more "caramelized".

You can leave the peppers done in advance, however, the assembly of the tartlets I recommend that you do them only a few moments before, since if not, the tartlets would be softened.

Thanks for writing to us! A hug.

      luciaoviedo said

    Thanks for the answers Elena!

One last thing (as you can see I am a total novice), if I make half the peppers, do I cut the oil and time in half? and the speeds?

    Thanks again!

         Irene Arcas said

Lucia has all been newbies at first and learned by asking! So don't worry and ask us everything you need.

Indeed the amounts you must reduce them by half, however the time you have to put a little more than half. I suggest you do it like this:

We put the peppers, in pieces, in the glass and we program 4 seconds, at speed 4. We lower the remains that have remained on the walls and on the lid of the glass towards the blades, helping us with the spatula.

We add the sugar, vinegar and water. We program 23 minutes, varoma temperature, left turn and spoon speed. We remove the cup and place the basket so that it does not splash and evaporate.

You will tell us how are you! Good luck.
