With leek and cooked chickpeas we are going to prepare a delicious appetizer: a few leek bites.
Spoon dishes are less and less desired, so we have to look for alternatives to continue consuming legumes. He hummus It is always a good option but what if we prepare something different and take advantage of the varoma?
In this container we will put the outer layers of a leek and the we will steam. It will be the perfect wrapper for our chickpea pasta.

Ingredients
For the rolls
- A beautiful leek (we will use only the outer layers)
- 500 g of water
- A splash of lemon juice
- Fresh parsley
- A pinch of salt
- 25 g olive oil
- 25 g of chickpea cooking water or normal water
Plus:
- Another splash of olive oil
- Ground pepper
Music
We make a longitudinal cut in the leek to remove the outer layers. We put them between the varoma container and the varoma tray. We cover with the lid.

We remove the varoma and let the leek cool. We remove the water from the glass.
In the glass we put the chickpeas, a splash of lemon juice, the parsley, a little salt, 25 g of olive oil and 25 g of water (normal or the chickpea cooking water if we have cooked them ourselves). We program 1 minutes, speed 7.
We put the mixture in a bowl.
We spread the leek strips and put the pasta that we just prepared in the center, lengthwise. We roll the leek and, with a very sharp knife, we cut what will be our leek bites.
We put them on a plate or in a small fountain and, when serving, we put a splash of olive oil, salt and pepper on them.
