Baked beans in Thermomix

If you are from the United Kingdom, have been there for a while or have simply had breakfast in foreign hotels, surely you know the baked beans.

In Spain they can be found in large supermarkets (their packaging appears in the photo) but I assure you that the ones you see on top of the toast are made with Thermomix.

And they look great. As you can see later, they are very easy to do. Perhaps the most difficult thing is to get some ingredients: for the Perrins sauce I don't think you have a problem because it is found in many supermarkets, but finding the right Golden syrup it's more difficult ... If you don't see it, you can substitute it for molasses, honey or even invert sugar. And pay attention to the beans, they are white and tiny.

It comes out quite a lot but it is that at home the children and the father (with blood irish and heart Scottish) they are passionate about. Keep in mind that, once made, you can freeze them.

Ingredients

• 40 g of extra virgin olive oil
• 1 medium onion
• 1 garlic clove
• 1 teaspoon of paprika (better if smoked)
• 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
• 2 teaspoons tomato paste
• 40 g of Golden Syrup (if you can't find it, substitute it for molasses in even honey)
• 1 tablespoon Worcestshire sauce (or Perrins Sauce)
• 900 g of small white beans already cooked (I have cooked them in the pressure cooker, soaking them first).
• 400 g of crushed tomato (if it is passata - thicker than crushed natural tomato - we put 310 g of passata and 90 g of water)
• Water (maybe you have to add a little until you consider that they are like the originals)

Preparation

1. We put the onion and garlic in the glass. We program 3 seconds, speed 6. We lower what is left on the walls.

2. We add the oil and program 3 minutes, varoma temperature, speed 1. In the last seconds we add the paprika.

3. Now is the time to add the rest of the ingredients, except the beans and water. We cook by programming 6 minutes, 100º, speed 1.

4. Finished that time, we grind a few seconds.

5. We put the butterfly on the blades. We add the beans. We program 10 minutes, 100º, left turn, spoon speed.

6. Now we see if they have remained with the texture of the originals. Mine usually need a little water, about 150 g.

7. We serve them accompanied by a toast with cheese, a roasted potato ... we will have a different and wonderful dinner.
