Tart with two types of dough and filled with jam

Sponge cake with jam

We are going to prepare a cake with two types of dough which is also filled with jam.

For the base we will use broken pasta and the mixture that we will put on the jam will be that of Genovese sponge cake.

Use the jam you like the most. I have put Homemade plum jam but you can put strawberry jam or any other kind on it.

What you see in the photo is the “basic” cake and that is why it admits any type of decoration or accompaniment. Once out of the oven, you can decorate it with rosettes of cream or with pastry cream. And if you want something simpler, you can serve it like this, as in the photo, accompanied by a scoop of ice cream, with syrup or with custard.
