Stewed lentils with pumpkin and sausage

What a rich lentil! Stewed lentils with pumpkin and sausage. We have loved it. What a good combination pumpkin makes with these lentils, because they give it a sweetness and a very delicate touch, which when combined with the intense flavor of the sausage is a perfect match !!

They are very tasty and are very easy to make in our Thermomix. We put all the ingredients at the same time and let it cook slowly. In about 50 minutes we will have everything ready.

The secret to some very tasty lentils is to make a good stir-fry, with many vegetables and his tomato. I also like to use lentil from pardina type, I think they make a better broth than Castilian lentils, which are bigger.

I have used sausages small barbecue, which I find delicious. And the pumpkin I have cut it into large dice, which can then be undone.

Ingredients

• 250 g of brown lentils (soaked from the night before)
• 100 g onion
• 100 g of red pepper
• 100 g of green pepper
• 100 g of tomato paste
• 2 cloves of garlic
• 60 g olive oil
• 1 teaspoon paprika sweet
• 1 teaspoon ground cumin
• 100 g pumpkin cut into large pieces
• 6 small sausages
• 1 hoja de laurel
• 800 g of water with a tablespoon of vegetable / chicken concentrate or broth
• salt to taste

Preparation

1. We put the oil, onion, garlic, tomato and peppers in the glass. We shred 5 seconds, speed 5. Then we program 8 minutes, temperature 120º, speed 1. 

2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the glass (with the lentils well drained) and program 45 minutes, temperature 100º, spoon speed, left turn. 

3. We taste, rectify the salt and spices and let it rest for 10 minutes in the glass to make the broth fatten.
