Like this year Valentine's Day! It falls during the week and we will not have much time for elaborate recipes, I propose something simple with a little fun touch.

The cream is made from peas, very nutritious and easy to make. The decorations are puff pastry shaped like heart, the perfect detail so that this date does not go unnoticed.

As you can see, when using the decoration, it is not mandatory that it be red, although it is the quintessential color of this celebration. The ideal is to use whatever little thing we have at home to give a different touch to the table, because the main thing is to make our cooking be fun and attractive.

A simple and fun cream to celebrate Valentine's Day

Ingredients

  • 250 g guisantes
  • 1 cebolla
  • 1 egg
  • 130 g of potato
  • 250 g of vegetable broth
  • 50 g of cream
  • 100 g of puff pastry
  • 15 g olive oil
  • Sesame
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Spread the puff pastry sheet and cut some figures with the cookie cutters. Calculate 3 or 4 per person. Put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or similar. Brush them with the beaten egg and bake them for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven at 200º.

  2. While peeling and quartering the onion. Put it in a glass and chop it during 3 seconds speed 5. Add the 15 g of oil and fry for 4 minutes at 100º and speed 1.

  3. Peel, wash and chop the potato. Add it to the glass along with the peas. Cover with the vegetable broth and cook for 15 minutes at 100º and speed 2.

  4. Let the temperature drop to 90º or 80º and crush during 45 seconds going from speed 5 to 9.

  5. Add the cream, season and heat everything together for 1 minute at 100º and speed 3.

  6. Distribute the cream in two plates or bowls. Sprinkle some sesame grains and place the puff pastry decorations.

      The peas are frozen, fresh out of the frozen without defrosting or anything.

    I am now making this cream for dinner tonight, my little one and I, the only thing that will substitute the cream for milk to make it lighter, do you think it will look good?

      Of course it will look good! You can also substitute it for an evaporated milk.
